§ 21-4-303. APPLICATION FOR LICENSE.

  • (a)

    Director may issue. The Director:

    (1)

    May issue a license to operate an amusement hall or a roller skating rink to a person who has:

    (i)

    Submitted to the Director an application on a form designated by the Department; and

    (ii)

    Filed with the Director the certificates listed under subsection (b) of this section; and

    (2)

    For the license year in question, may renew a license to operate an amusement hall or a roller skating rink for a person who has filed with the Director the certificates listed under subsection (b) of this section.

    (b)

    Required certificates. In order to receive or renew a license under this section, a person shall submit to the Director certificates from:

    (1)

    The Division of Code Inspection and Enforcement of the Department stating that the building to be occupied by the amusement hall or roller skating rink is structurally safe and that the building is in compliance with the applicable building, electric, and the Plumbing and Gasfitting Code;

    (2)

    The Fire Marshal stating that the building is in compliance with the county Fire Prevention Code; and

    (3)

    The Director of Environmental Protection and Sustainability stating that the building and the premises on which the building is located are in compliance with the standards and regulations of the Department of Environmental Protection and Sustainability and the State Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.

    (c)

    Fee. The fee for an annual license is $100.

    (d)

    Expiration. A license issued under this subtitle shall expire 1 year after the day it was issued.
