§ 21-3-103. REGULATIONS.

  • (a)

    Authority. The County Health Officer may adopt regulations concerning the operation of ambulances under this title.

    (b)

    Content. The regulations adopted under this section may include:

    (1)

    Specifications for required equipment;

    (2)

    The manner of operation and use;

    (3)

    The health and physical condition of attendant-drivers and attendants;

    (4)

    The mechanical condition of the vehicle;

    (5)

    Technical knowledge required of attendant-drivers and attendants;

    (6)

    Safety standards;

    (7)

    Reports of use;

    (8)

    Insurance requirements;

    (9)

    Reciprocal licensing regulations; and

    (10)

    Other matters that relate to the operation of ambulances and to the safety, health, and welfare of the residents of the county.
