§ 21-2-204. GROUNDS FOR SUSPENSION, DENIAL, NON-RENEWAL, OR REVOCATION OF LICENSE.

  • The Director may deny, suspend, or revoke a license, or deny the renewal of any license under this title if the Director finds that the applicant, or if the applicant is a corporation or partnership, any officer, director, principal, partner, or stockholder of the corporation, or of any corporation, association, or partnership having an interest of 10% or more in the applicant:

    (1)

    Violated any provision of this title;

    (2)

    Falsified any part of the application on which the license was granted under this title;

    (3)

    Failed to notify the Director within 14 days of any change in the information provided in the application for the license;

    (4)

    Refused a right of entry or inspection to a person authorized under this title; or

    (5)

    Has been convicted, placed on probation before judgement, or held liable for any:

    (i)

    Violation of this title; or

    (ii)

    Act involving moral turpitude, including any violation of federal, state or local law.

    Annotation— The licensing scheme for adult entertainment businesses was found unconstitutional in an unreported decision by the Federal District Court of Maryland in Allno Enterprises, Inc. v. Baltimore County, CA-99-1249-S (2000).
