§ 21-22-113. INSPECTIONS.

(a)

Inspection. An electronic device dealer shall allow a law enforcement officer, acting in official capacity, to:

(1)

Enter the dealer's place of business or storage premises during regular business hours; and

(2)

Inspect:

(i)

Any record of a transfer that is subject to this title; and

(ii)

Any electronic device on the premises.

(b)

Dealer's presence required upon request. On the request of the dealer, the law enforcement officer shall make the inspection in the presence of the dealer.

(c)

Search warrant. If the dealer refuses to allow access or refuses to produce a record or device for inspection, the law enforcement officer may seek a search warrant.
