§ 21-16-123. REGULATIONS.

(a)

Regulations may be adopted . The Department may adopt and enforce regulations necessary to effectuate the purposes of this title.

(b)

Regulations for police-initiated towing . The regulations for police-initiated towing may include provisions for:

(1)

License applications;

(2)

Towing facility requirements;

(3)

Equipment requirements;

(4)

Requirements and qualifications for tow truck drivers and the owners of towing companies;

(5)

Maximum charges for towing services;

(6)

Dispatch and response standards;

(7)

Complaints about service;

(8)

Insurance requirements;

(9)

Disciplinary standards and penalties;

(10)

Any other matters considered necessary by the Department.
