§ 21-15-213. JOURNEYMAN PLUMBER-GASFITTER LICENSE.

  • (a)

    General requirements. The Board shall issue a journeyman plumber-gasfitter license to a person who has:

    (1)

    Served 4 years or more in acquiring 7500 working hours of experience, which includes not more than 1500 hours of classroom plumbing work or study, as a state registered apprentice plumber-gasfitter as provided in subsection (c) of this section; and

    (2)

    Been qualified and approved by the Board.

    (b)

    Restrictions on license. The holder of a journeyman plumber-gasfitter license is eligible to work at the plumbing and gasfitting business for and under the direction of a registered master plumber-gasfitter.

    (c)

    Apprentice plumber-gasfitter license. The state Plumbing Board issues an apprentice plumber-gasfitter license to an individual who wants to learn the plumbing business under the direction and control of a master plumber.
