§ 20-1-102. EXTENSION OF BOUNDARIES.

  • Whenever three-fifths of the owners of record title to lands lying in any locality in the county adjoining the county metropolitan district, but outside the boundaries thereof, shall, in writing, petition the County Executive to have the locality included within the metropolitan district, the County Council, upon recommendation of the County Executive may, by a majority vote by and with the consent and approval of the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, extend the metropolitan district to include said locality, which locality shall become a part of the metropolitan district and subject to all the provisions of this article upon the recording of such petition, together with the written approval of the county, and the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, in a book maintained by the Director of Public Works for that purpose, and upon such publication as the county shall deem proper.
