§ 18-3-105. CONTRACTS.

  • (a)

    General requirements. A contract made by the county for any work under this title shall be reduced to writing and all payments under the contract are subject to approval of the Director as to the work done under the contract.

    (b)

    Contractor's bond.

    (1)

    The county may not contract for work or materials of any kind to be done or furnished in connection with any of its duties under this title for an amount exceeding $25,000 without requiring the party contracting to do the work or to furnish the material to give a bond, with security to be approved by the county for the proper performance of the contract.

    (2)

    The county may not make payments on account of a contract unless the Director approves the payments.
