§ 18-2-706. TRIAL.

(a)

Giving notice of intention to stand trial. A recipient of a violation notice who intends to stand trial for the offense shall give notice of the intent to stand trial to the Director of Budget and Finance at least 5 days before the payment for the violation is due as required by the notice of violation.

(b)

Director to forward notice to the court. On receiving the notice as required under this section, the Director of Budget and Finance shall forward to the District Court a copy of the violation notice and a copy of the notice of intent to stand trial.
