§ 18-2-703. ENFORCEMENT PERSONNEL.
(a)
Police officers. County police officers shall have the power to enforce the provisions of this title.
(b)
Parking enforcement officers - Designated.
(1)
Subject to subsections (d) and (e) of this section, the Director of Budget and Finance may designate parking enforcement officers to patrol the county in order to enforce this title, Article 14, Title 3 of the Code, and the county parking regulations.
(2)
Parking enforcement officers shall be uniformed in a manner that will identify them as parking enforcement officers.
(c)
Same - Jurisdiction. Except as limited in this section, parking enforcement officers have concurrent jurisdiction with county police officers regarding the enforcement of all parking ordinances, laws, and regulations applicable to:
(1)
County streets, highways, and alleys; and
(2)
Public parking facilities owned by the county Revenue Authority.
(d)
Same - Authority. Parking enforcement officers may issue a notice of violation to a motor vehicle or vehicle owner or operator when a vehicle is found parked in violation of any parking regulation.
(e)
Same - Limitation on jurisdiction and authority. Parking enforcement officers may not enforce provisions regarding motor vehicle moving violations.
