§ 18-2-412. REGULATIONS.
(a)
In general. The Director of Public Works may:
(1)
Adopt regulations regarding:
(i)
The total number of parking permits that the Department of Permits, Approvals and Inspections may issue for each dwelling unit within residential permit parking areas, based on the amount of on-street and off-street parking available in the area; and
(ii)
The parking by visitors of residents in any designated residential permit parking areas; and
(2)
Recommend the establishment of a fee for any temporary parking permits issued.
(b)
Public utility companies. The regulations adopted by the Director of Public Works shall allow parking of vehicles owned by companies that are subject to the jurisdiction of the State Public Service Commission and which are then engaged in rendering services to residents in any designated residential permit parking areas without any permit requirements.
