§ 18-2-207. PARKING TRUCKS ON SHOPPING CENTER LOTS.

  • (a)

    Parking overnight prohibited. A person may not park a commercial vehicle having more than three-quarters of a ton manufacturer's rating capacity on a shopping center lot in the county between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. unless the vehicle is unoccupied and is to be loaded or unloaded at a place of business in the shopping center.

    (b)

    Sleeping prohibited. A person may not use a commercial vehicle, as described in subsection (a) of this section, as sleeping quarters at any time on a shopping center lot.

    (c)

    Scope. The provisions of this section apply only to a shopping center in which the owner of the property has posted appropriate signs approved by the Police Department stating the prohibitions of this section.

    (d)

    Penalty. A violation of this section is punishable by a fine of $250 for each day the violation exists.
