§ 14-2-202. SAME — CHILD CARE FACILITIES.

(a)

Duty to comply. Except as provided in subsection (b) of this section, the requirements of § 14-2-201 of this subtitle apply to:

(1)

The owner of a family child day care facility, a group child day care center, or a nursery school; or

(2)

The owner or lessor of a building or structure that contains a family child day care facility, a group child care center, or a nursery school.

(b)

Exception. An owner or lessor under subsection (a) of this section may not direct wire the smoke detectors.
