§ 13-6-206. DISINFECTION AND BACTERIOLOGICAL QUALITY.

  • (a)

    Public swimming pools. The water in a public swimming pool shall be disinfected through the use of chemicals including chlorine and chlorine compounds or other methods acceptable to the approving authority.

    (b)

    Public bathing beaches. A public bathing beach:

    (1)

    Is exempt from maintaining an adequate chlorine residual; but

    (2)

    Shall comply with the bacteriological quality required by regulations adopted by the Health Officer.
