§ 13-5-101. DEFINITIONS.

  • (a)

    In general. In this title the following words have the meanings indicated.

    (b)

    Boat.

    (1)

    "Boat" means a vessel or watercraft floating on the water, whether or not capable of self-locomotion.

    (2)

    "Boat" includes a vessel or watercraft moved by oars, paddles, sails, or other inboard or outboard power mechanism.

    (c)

    Marina. "Marina" means a modern boat basin, restricted to recreational marine craft of all types, with facilities for one or more of the following:

    (1)

    Berthing a boat;

    (2)

    Launching a boat;

    (3)

    Securing a boat;

    (4)

    Allowing incidental minimum provision for refueling and emergency servicing a boat; and

    (5)

    Land (out-of-water) storage of a boat.

    (d)

    Owner of a marina. "Owner of a marina" means a person undertaking or participating in the operation of a marina.
