§ 12-1-202. NOTICE.

  • (a)

    Reasonable effort to locate and notify owner. The Health Officer shall promptly make a reasonable effort to locate and notify the owner of an impounded animal.

    (b)

    Notification requirements. A notice from the Health Officer shall inform the owner of the applicable requirements of this article, including the requirement in § 12-1-203 of this subtitle to pay in advance for the animal's care and the opportunity to request a waiver of the prepayment under § 12-1-204 of this subtitle.

    (c)

    Manner of notification. The Health Officer may notify the owner of the requirements of this subtitle in the same manner as the Health Officer may serve a violation notice under § 12-1-110(c)(1) of this title.
