§ 11-2-403. PURCHASE OF REAL ESTATE BY COUNTY.

  • (a)

    Authorized. The county may bid at any sale of real estate offered for sale for nonpayment of taxes, including the same rights and remedies with regard to the properties as other purchasers, including the right to foreclose the right of redemption.

    (b)

    Deed. On issuance of a court order foreclosing the right of redemption, a deed for the property may be executed by the Director to the county and recorded among the land records of the county.
