§ 10-9-103. PURPOSE.

(a)

Provide coverage. The Health Insurance Fund shall provide payment for health coverage for employees.

(b)

Boards may join. The County Board of Community College Trustees and the County Board of Education may elect to join the Health Insurance Fund.

(c)

Contribution.

(1)

Each participating county entity shall be responsible for a special accrued liability contribution on account of its approval of the participation of its officers and employees in the Fund.

(2)

The contribution shall be determined by an actuarial valuation of the accrued liability on account of the officers and employees of the participating county entity that elected to become members.
