§ 10-1-109. ISSUANCE OF LIEN CERTIFICATES.

  • (a)

    Authority to issue. The Director of Budget and Finance may provide for the issuance of a lien certificate stating whether any county charges or assessments exist against a particular property.

    (b)

    Contents. A lien certificate shall show all charges and assessments of every character due the county, including state and county taxes and benefit assessments.

    (c)

    Not exclusive of other charges. The enumeration of charges and assessments in subsections (a) and (b) of this section may not be construed as exclusive of other charges and assessments not enumerated in this section, which may have been or may hereafter be authorized and imposed.

    (d)

    Charge. The Director shall charge $30 for each lien certificate issued.

    (e)

    Duration. A lien certificate issued under this section shall be valid for a period of not longer than 45 days after the day of issuance of the certificate or the end of the fiscal year in which the certificate is issued with respect to charges and assessments due and owing as of the date the certificate was issued.
